Handmade Goat Milk Soap
Why Goat Milk Soap?
Many
people ask, why goat milk? What makes soap better using goat
milk? And why buy handmade goat milk soap instead of store
bought
soap?
The answers to these questions should convince you to at least try some goat milk soap once and see for yourself.
First, some form of liquid is used when making soap, instead of water like what is used
in commercial soaps, I use goat milk.
Goat milk is high in vitamin A & D increasing skin strength and suppleness. It is high in alpha hydroxy acid which aids in removing dead skin cells and in turn rejuvinates dry skin.
The fats, creams and proteins also help moisturize the skin while most store bought brands actually tend to remove the skins moisture leaving it dry and itchy. I use a "cold process" to make my soap. Cold-process soap making produces glycerin. Commercial soap companies extract the glycerin, so you are left with a bar of detergent.
Handmade goat milk soap benefits people with sensitive skin because it doesn't contain additives like alcohol, petroleum and preservatives. This reduces the risk of skin irritation and allergic reactions.Goat milk soap can also benefit people with acne-prone skin because the proteins in milk kill acne-causing bacteria.
Now that you understand all of the benefits to your skin, using goat milk soap just seems like the right thing to do!
